Working with the business unit, we use an operations-centric approach to identify the opportunities for improvements to the "as-is" process and to develop the "to-be" model. The model includes process changes, existing systems, and any required new systems to support and enable the new processes. The objective is to use all of the system's functionality to benefit the users and the customers.

Geographic Information Strategic Plan

Based on a clear understanding of the utilities present and future requirements for geographic information and how it needs to interface with other systems, we develop solutions involving multi-year strategic implementation plans for the required systems and data. Our solutions combine people, processes, and systems in a synergistic relationship. The ready availability of landbase data and satellite imagery provide a less expensive means for developing base maps and connectivity.

Utility reality is that legacy systems, including manual processes, exist and need to be incorporated in any “go-forward” plan. Our practice focuses on the current system capabilities and the plans for new systems, as well as the specific project focus.
